Product description Styled in a natural low gloss, the SR Premium Series Ibanez Premium Series SR1820 is an electric bass featuring a walnut/flamed maple top and a mahogany body. The bass offers a bolt-on Atlas-4 5-piece panga panga /purpleheart neck with KTS Titanium rods. This neck, measuring 34" in scale, provides a bound panga panga fingerboard with 24 medium frets and abalone oval inlays.
The Nostrand "Big Single" pickups produce full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal textures, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single coil pickups. The active 3-band EQ provides controls for cut/boost over treble, mid, and bass frequencies. A 3-way mid-frequency selector switch toggles between 250, 450, and 700 Hz, while the EQ on/off switch turns off the active circuit allowing the treble knob to function as a passive EQ tone circuit.
Additionally, the bass offers a single volume and balance controls and is fitted with gold hardware including a Mono-rail V bridge, as well as a set of Gotoh machinehead tuners on the headstock. A soft case is included. - Atlas 5-Piece Panga Panga / Purpleheart Neck
- This neck provides tonal clarity and excellent note attack, while its slim grip shape promotes playability.
- Premium Fret Edge Treatment
- The premium fret edges are processed to be specially rounded for smooth play and comfortable neck grip.
- Panga Panga Fingerboard
- Panga Panga features a beautiful wood grain, and produces a tight low and midrange with a sharp attack on high end.
- Nordstrand Big Single Pickups
- The Nordstrand Big Single pickup crams as meaty a single coil as can fit in a soapbar style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single coil pickups.
- Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ
- The bass sports an active three-band EQ that boosts and cuts middle, treble, and bass frequencies. A mid-frequency switch lets you choose among center-frequencies in the midrange. If you decide to switch the EQ into passive mode, the active circuit is shut off, and the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
- Mono-Rail V Bridge
- The Mono-rail V with 19.0mm string-spacing provides string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body to enhance vibration transfer and minimize interference.

- The Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut offers low friction to keep you in tune and gives clearer sound and sustain.
- Gotoh Machine Heads
- The Gotoh machine heads offer superior tuning stability.
