Product description The Ibanez SR Standard Series SR400EQM is an electric bass guitar with a quilted maple top, a mahogany body, and a purple space burst gloss finish. Its 34"-scale SR4 5pc neck couples maple with walnut, offering a jatoba fingerboard, 24 medium frets, and white dot inlays. For electronics, the instrument is outfitted with two Ibanez PowerSpan dual-coil pickups, which offer extended highs without sacrificing the low end. Further enhancing your timbre is a three-way power-tap switch that changes the pickups between tap mode, single mode, and a combination of both. An Accu-cast B300 fixed bridge affixes the strings to the body. - PowerSpan Dual Coil Pickups
- Developed by Ibanez, the exposed pole pieces of the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups produce a strong signal, and increase the response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low end. The result is a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression.
- Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ with 3-Way Power-Tap Switch
- The 3-band EQ works in conjunction with a coil tap switch for enhanced control over a wide variety of bass tones. Tap Mode (single coil) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with emphasis on articulation. Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a full, warm tone, while Power-Tap Mode combines the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
