Product description - Ibanez SR "ASHULA" featuring Franck Hermanny - 7-string fretted/fretless hybrid bass
The SR Ashula Series SRAS7 from Ibanez is a 7-string electric bass guitar featuring a maple neck, a poplar burl/ash top, a mahogany body, and a dragon eye burst finish. The bolt-on SRAS7 7-piece neck features a 35" scale with a fretless purpleheart section and a fretted rosewood section, enabling solid tones, chord work, smooth playing, and sensitive voicing. The double-cutaway body allows for unencumbered access to the upper regions of the fingerboard, ensuring solid playability. For electronics, the fretted section offers SRAS Super-J pickups for a clear, bright, and dynamic tone, while the fretless section utilizes an AeroSilk Piezo system for an enhanced acoustic and wooden sound similar to an upright bass. Other features include an AeroSilk Mono-Rail V bridge (fretless), a Mono-Rail bridge (fretted), a 3-way pickup selector with options for magnetic, piezo, or a mix of both with additional tone controls, and black matte hardware. - Finger Rest
