Product description Styled in an autumn burst flat matte finish, the Ibanez Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner Signature Series TCB1006 is a six-string, hollow-body electric bass that offers a bevy of tonal possibilities thanks to its magnetic, piezo, and MIDI pickups. It also provides a comprehensive switching system for fashioning tonal palettes utilizing these pickups and pickup combinations.
The body of the bass is constructed out of maple, specifically quilted maple in the top and curly maple in the back and sides. The five-piece set-in neck, measuring 34" in scale, is crafted out of maple and purpleheart, and sports a bound rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Acrylic block inlays give the bass a vintage look that cleverly masks its comprehensive electronic system.
Onto that electronic system, now analyzed in depth: You'll find two EMG 45HZ magnetic pickups, both passive humbuckers with low noise, high output, and a naturally warm tone. Compounding these pickups are a piezo pickup and a MIDI output, all governed by the Graph Tech Ghost Modular Pickup System. With this system, you can control and blend a multitude of tones via two dedicated volume knobs and three toggle switches. These toggle switches let you switch between MIDI/analog audio/blend, engage MIDI PC messages (up and down), and enable the Ghost's natural, acoustic sound voicing.
A Hipshot A-style bridge anchors strings to the body, and also houses the Graph Tech Ghost Saddle pickup. At the headstock, you'll find Hipshot Ultralite tuning machines. A hardshell case is included. - TCB 5-Piece Maple/Purpleheart Set-In Neck

- For the magnetic pickup, the TCB1006 features EMG 45HZ, a passive humbucking pickup which features low noise, plenty of output and warm tone.
- Hipshot A-Style Bridge with Graph Tech Ghost Saddle Pickup
- Nestled in the bridge, the Graph Tech Ghost Saddle pickup offers wide range of tonal variation to complement the magnetic pickups.
- Graph Tech Ghost Modular Pickup System
- The Graph Tech Ghost modular pickup system offers Piezo and MIDI output options, in addition to the magnetic sound. You can quickly and smoothly control various tones by two knobs and three toggle switches, including MIDI/Mix/Magnetic&Piezo, MIDI program up/down, and Mid/Dark (natural Ghost acoustic sound/mid-boost) switches.

- To avoid an unbalanced feel, the TCB1006 sports lightweight Hipshot Ultralite tuning machines.
