Product description Styled in a mahogany oil burst finish, the Ibanez Workshop Series UB804 is an electric upright bass designed for players looking to retain a more stand-up sound and feel in a portable form factor. The UB804 features a maple body and a UB4 5-piece maple/walnut neck with a neck-through construction. A fretless jatoba fingerboard sits atop the neck, one with a scale of 34". The neck has a radius of 60 to 90mm.
For electronics, this bass has an AeroSilk Piezo system with an active tone control circuit, giving you two knobs to control volume and tone. Strings are anchored to the body with a custom AeroSilk MR5 bridge. The bass is meant to be fixed upon a stand so that you may play it upright, and for this purpose, a custom TAMA stand has been provided. A padded gig bag is included with the UB804, one that fits the bass, the stand, and a bow, should you want to bring one to a gig. - AeroSilk Piezo Custom Pickup for Upright
- Whether you're bowing or finger-picking, you'll find this specially modified piezo system accounts for the differing vibrations of the strings, and then outputs the signals at equalized level. This ensures a more even tone.
- Padded Gig Bag and Stand Included
- A stand, courtesy of TAMA, is provided. The included padded gig bag can carry everything in it, including the bass, a bow (available separately) and the stand.
