It offers a native capacity of 12TB and when 2.5:1 compression is utilized, a capacity of 30TB for even greater efficiency and performance. IBM's LTO 8 data cartridges help provide users with peace of mind, as well as manage data growth while sustaining rapid, reliable access to data. General Features - Increase Capacity and Performance

- IBM Spectrum Archive Support / Enhance Data Access
- With IBM Spectrum Archive, the data files are indexed to facilitate search and retrieval using disk-like directory tree structures and drag-and-drop techniques to help improve the usability of tape solutions. IBM Spectrum Archive allows users and applications to directly retrieve files from tape rather than rely on proprietary, third-party applications, thereby enhancing data access and potentially reducing software licensing costs and dependencies.
