Product description The silver EZConvert Pro Enterprise 2.5" to 3.5" SAS HDD/SSD Converter from Icy Dock is designed specifically to be used with 2.5" SAS/SATA drives that are required to be installed in 3.5" SAS internal hard drive bays of tower and rackmount chassis, as well as with SAS backplanes or hot-swap modules. The dimensions, connection locations, and mounting hole positions of a standard 3.5" SAS or SSD drive are incorporated in its design. The converter utilizes a full metal design, thus creating a suitable environment to cool any SAS HDD or SSD. The construction is suitable for industrial, enterprise, and military related applications. The converter uses a standardized SAS connection in order to be fully compatible with various SAS backplanes. To accommodate various hard drive heights, it includes Smart-Fit Technology, allowing security of the drive whether it is a thinner 7mm or a thicker 15mm drive. The efficient design of the converter features an effortless installation process without any tools or screws and plenty of ventilation slots to keep any drive used running cool. The top, front, and rear allow airflow, and a special vent at the bottom gives you a visual confirmation that the drive has made a secure connection. - Converts a 2.5" SATA/SAS HDD or SSD to a 3.5" SAS HDD or SSD, for 3.5" SAS drive bay usage and with 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm and 15mm drive height
