Product description The ToughArmor 2 x 2.5" SAS/SATA HDD + 1 x Slim ODD Rack from Icy Dock is a full metal, dual bay 2.5" SATA/SAS hard drive/SSD mobile rack backplane designed with a Slim Optical Disk Drive (ODD) slot, for use in a single 5.25" device bay. This device is designed for a small form factor system or server such as IPC, HTPC, NAS, Home Servers, and all-in-one computers. Dual 4-pin power connectors are used to ensure secured and consistent power supply to both SATA/SAS drives and the optical drive, whether they are low power consumption 2.5" SATA SSD's or 15,000 rpm 2.5" SAS drives. The dual bay includes a single 40mm cooling fan with on and off switch to assist the drives running at their optimal temperatures, in intense applications. An EZ-ODD tray fits in the Slim Optical Disk Drive slot and is easily removable by use of the provided key, or via the side latch. This allows system integrators to meet their potential client's needs. It utilizes EZ Slide Mini Trays, making drive interchangeability and maintenance hassle-free. Furthermore, the long lasting full metal trays let you easily transport your data from system to system. The device features a full cage design and an added top drive cover that provides an added layer of protection, while moving the drive. The trays are designed to accommodate 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm, and 15mm drives, which gives you the control of your 2.5" hot-swap backplane. Its fan-control allows the potential system to be accommodated properly, depending on the hard drives used. If an SSD is used, the fan can be left off which, shuts off the noise completely from the device. The fan assists in cooling mission critical hard drives. The device body is built with aluminum for tough conditions and provides optimal heat dissipation. Its ventilation slots on the front and back for maximum airflow, keep the drives running cool. The LED is placed on the front of each drive tray to give the user drive status, at all times. - Fits two 2.5" SATA/SAS hard drives or SSDs and a slim Optical Disk Drive (ODD)
