Product description The ToughArmor 2 x 2.5" SATA Mobile Rack For 3.5" Drive Bay from Icy Dock is a small form factor storage system with low power consumption and space-saving benefits. The mobile rack is used in 3.5" drive bays (floppy bays). The ability to house two 2.5" SATA SSDs or HDDs in a single 3.5" drive bay make it suitable for building small RAID 1 backups for SMB workstations or fast RAID 0 arrays for powerful PCs. Utilizing its small form factor, the mobile rack is suitable for use in industrial PCs, SMB SFF servers, mobile DVR systems, or even home servers. The single SATA 15-pin power port keeps cables clutter-free and eases installation, and lets you save space while maintaining the speed and capacity. The small form factor, mobile rack is capable of holding up in harsh environments with the heavy-duty metal construction. It can be used in various systems including military and law enforcement deployment, as well as manufacturing conditions such as embedded control systems and factory automation systems. With a full metal design, the ToughArmor is suitable for industrial and medical devices as it is considered to comply with flammability requirements. The material used offers heat dissipation transfer from hard drives to the mobile rack. Multi-Flow Technology (MFT) effectively routes airflow correctly for passive cooling via ventilation slots on the front, rear, top, and bottom (in multiple locations). The Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) and EMI grounding are used to provide a stable environment for hard drives or SSDs. LED indicators installed in the front of the mobile rack provide drive status information at all times. Active Power Technology (APT) allows each LED to be on only when a hard drive is inserted into the enclosure. For drive security, the eagle-hook lock system on the tray ensures that hard drives do not eject when not needed. Additionally, the two segment key lock provides protection against theft of hard drives as well as safeguards any sensitive data. The EZ slide micro trays make drive interchangeability and maintenance hassle free. The trays are also designed to accommodate 7 to 9.5mm height hard drives and SSDs, creating a 2.5" hot-swap bay for standard SATA hard drives and SSDs. - Heavy-duty full metal construction for rugged applications in medical and military systems, media servers, and IPCs, approved and used by Tier 1 companies
