Product description

The black TurboSwap MB171SP-B Tray-Less 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Mobile Rack from Icy Dock lets you install full- and half height 3.5" SATA drives in a 5.25" bay. This lockable mobile rack is ideal for rugged applications such as medical and military systems, industrial PCs, and servers. The rack has a drive power button, ultra slim 80mm cooling fan with speed control, and screw holes to install an optional 120mm cooling fan, which can be ideal for gamers and power users looking to add a hot-swap SATA III bay to their system.

  • Lets you install full- and half-height 3.5" SATA drives in a 5.25" bay
  • Compatible with 2.5" SATA HDD/SSDs
  • Supports up to 6 Gb/s transfer speeds (depending on host configuration)
  • Heavy duty all metal construction

    Tray-Less Design Benefits
  • The rack allows you to quickly swap drives without the fuss of rewiring or installing trays on your drives. The TurboSwap allows you to hot-swap drives within seconds, while maintaining drive stability and overall reliability. The Ultra-Flex shock absorbing kit provides drive support whether it's a half height drive or a full size drive; it stabilizes the drive and absorbs vibrations.
    Cooling Fan
  • The included slim 80mm fan is mounted beneath the rack to allow sufficient cooling for all types of applications, whether you're running a server that's constantly under heavy load or a media system that's running 24/7. If you need to add an aftermarket 120mm fan, the necessary screw holes are there. Individual power control allows you to turn off your HDD with the touch of a button, which can help you preserve the life of your drives.
    Security
  • TurboSwap allows you to lock the hard drive in place to prevent theft or tampering. The integrated barrel lock and keys in the rack increase security. This barrel locking mechanism and all-metal design adds an extra layer of data protection, which is recommended for most businesses.
