Product description American Acoustic from IK Multimedia is a virtual instrument that can function standalone or as a plug-in instrument when loaded into the company's free SampleTank Custom Shop, or as a loaded instrument in SampleTank 3 or SE workstations. It features a vintage Martin D28 with a spruce top and mahogany neck, recorded using a clean, modern pairing of a Schoeps CMC small diaphragm condenser microphone with a Prism Orpheus preamp/interface.
The instrument was recorded many times to cover every method of playing, from flatpicking, fingerstyle, strumming and beyond, along with additional effects like slides and harmonics. The actual notes themselves were performed in a very specific way, so that when translated to the keyboard or in MIDI patterns, it still sounds like an acoustic guitar played by a guitarist. When combined with other instruments, the American Acoustic is a good fit for pop, rock, folk, country, hip-hop, R&B, and even EDM. Table of Contents
