Product description IK Multimedia Syntronik Blau is a virtual synthesizer plug-in with a library that consists of authentic samples from the PPG Wave 2.2 and 2.3, a line of unique sounding analog/digital hybrid synths manufactured from 1981 to 1987. Heard on records by a-ha, Propaganda, Thomas Dolby, Art of Noise, David Bowie, and more, the PPG Wave 2 uses a digital wavetable sound generation system combined with analog VCA envelope and VCF filter sections, which warm up the harsh artifacts of the wavetables. It is renowned for its lush pads, rich brass, and fat bass sounds with glassy overtones.The library comes with 2000 samples and 90 instruments, and is powered by the included Syntronik Free player. To recreate the unmistakable sound of analog oscillators, the software employs the company's DRIFT technology, which emulates the way real analog circuits behave over time.
