Product description `IK Multimedia Syntronik SAM is a virtual synthesizer plug-in with a library that recreates the unique sounds of the Oberheim Synthesizer Expander Module (SEM), manufactured from 1974 to 1979. Heard on records by Jan Hammer, Joe Zawinul, film-maker/composer John Carpenter, and more, the SEM features one voice with two selectable-shape oscillators, a 2-pole state variable filter with high-pass, band-pass, low-pass, and notch modes, and is great for delivering opulent brass tones and lush pad sounds.The library comes with 4500 samples and 126 instruments, and is powered by the included Syntronik Free player. To recreate the unmistakable sound of analog oscillators, the software employs the company's DRIFT technology, which emulates the way real analog circuits behave over time. Syntronik Free player comes with true 4-part capability to layer rich sounds with multis and splits, four dynamic arpeggiators for complex rhythmic textures, and 38 high-quality effects derived from AmpliTube and T-RackS.Syntronik SAM is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and works in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats running at 64-bit.
