Product description IK Multimedia Syntronik V-80 is a virtual synthesizer plug-in with a library that consists of authentic sounds from the classic Yamaha CS-80, GX-1, and CS-01 analog synths, all manufactured from 1976 to 1980. The CS-80 was the company's flagship synthesizer at that time, and was popularized by artists such as Toto and Vangelis on the Blade Runner soundtrack. The GX-1 was Yamaha's first large polyphonic synth. This behemoth features a triple-tiered keyboard, pedalboard, ribbon controller, and eight polyphonic voices. It came at a staggering price and was used by a group of premier artists including Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, and ABBA's Benny Andersson. Bringing up the rear, the tiny CS-01 is a single-oscillator monophonic synth with selectable-shape waveform, going into a 4-pole resonant filter. Despite its simplicity it can easily turn into a fat little bass machine. The library comes with 2000 samples and 102 instruments, and is powered by the included Syntronik Free player. To recreate the unmistakable sound of analog oscillators, the software employs the company's DRIFT technology, which emulates the way real analog circuits behave over time. Syntronik Free player comes with true 4-part capability to layer rich sounds with multis and splits, four dynamic arpeggiators for complex rhythmic textures, and 38 high-quality effects derived from AmpliTube and T-RackS.Syntronik V-80 is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and works in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats running at 64-bit.
