Product description - 11.6" 3G-SDI Full HD Monitor
- D12 | 11.6" 3G-SDI Full HD Monitor w/ IPS Panel
Suitable for both location and studio work, Ikan's D12 is an 11.6" 3G-SDI Full HD Monitor that features a native 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD panel and loopthrough SD/HD/3G-SDI, and HDMI inputs and outputs. While the monitor is too large and heavy for most to use as an on-camera monitor the removable desk stand does feature three 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes that provides for a variety of mounting possibilities. The monitor displays SD & HD video, autosensing and selecting between NTSC, PAL, and even SECAM color standards, using either SDI or HDMI inputs. The inputs/outputs do not cross convert signals, but they are loopthrough, which allows you to use this monitor in the signal path of either an SDI or HDMI system.
The monitor incorporates a variety of image display tools including; False Color, Peaking, Clip Guides & DSLR Scaling. On-screen Tally indication allows you to use this as a monitor for a studio camera or for monitoring in a multi-camera shoot. The monitor is powered from the included AC adapter via a threaded COAX power connector, or you can power it using the built-in 4-pin mini XLR. It accepts a voltage range from 7 to 12 volts DC, allowing you to use a variety of batteries to power the monitor in the field. - HD Resolution
- The IPS LCD screen features 1920 x 1080 resolution, which provides you a crisp image, and the IPS technology provides a 178° viewing angle, left to right and top to bottom.
- User Interface
- A simplified front panel features an On/Off switch, input select, four assignable function buttons, a menu, and exit button.
- Peaking
- Peaking highlights the sharpest (most in focus) areas of the image with a color outline. The D12 features two modes, monochrome, and color. The monochrome mode shows the image in black and white with the red peaking outline and the color peaking mode shows the image in color with a red peaking outline. Both the peaking color and sensitivity can be adjusted in the monitor's menu system.
- False Color
- The False Color feature provides under/over luminance warning by presenting the image as a series of color values representing exposure.
- Clip Guides
- ikan's exclusive Adjustable Under Exposure and Over Exposed Warning feature is an extension of false color. It allows the operator to set the preferred IRE exposure limits and the operator is warned when the image exposure exceeds or falling under the preset IRE limit.
- DSLR Scaling
- The DSLR Scaling function enables you to extend your DSLR's HDMI output to any option of four display options: Normal, 3:2, 16:9, or Full Screen.
- Zoom
- The monitor features a 3x zoom function that allows you to zoom in to a specific area of the image, magnifying it 3x. You can move the zoom around the entire image if you wish, magnifying parts of the image.
- VESA Compatible
- The monitor features three mounting patterns:
- The removable metal carry handle attaches to the back of the monitor via two threaded holes.
- The monitor incorporates two separate mounting patterns allowing you to mount either a V-mount or Anton Bauer Gold-mount type battery plate. Please note battery plates are not included and must be sourced separately.
- Power
- The monitor accepts power via a coax connector or a 4-pin mini XLR connector.
