Product description The ikan DS2 Beholder Gimbal Ring Kit includes the DS2 Beholder and a gimbal ring handle. The DS2 Beholder is a 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer for DSLR and mirrorless cameras weighing up to four pounds. It offers unlimited 360° rotation along the pan (yaw) axis, and features an advanced 32-bit controller and 12-bit encoder system. The gimbal features an angled support arm that allows you to operate the gimbal normally while having an unobstructed view of the camera's LCD screen. It offers three follow modes plus a lock mode that sets the camera in a fixed position. A point-and-lock mode allows you to physically position the camera, and it will hold that position until reset. Auto inversion mode allows for upside-down operation, while retaining all the mode's functionality. The DS2 gimbal also features a lock mode that sets the camera in a fixed position. An integrated OLED display on the rear confirms the selected mode of operation and provides battery life info. Designed with a quick release baseplate that allows for convenient camera attachment and tool-less balancing, the gimbal also has two 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes on the handle for attaching accessories for advanced setups, and a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole on the bottom for mounting onto a tripod, monopod, and other support gear. The DS2 gimbal runs on three supplied 18650 batteries that provide 8-10 hours of operating life when used continuously, and up to 20 hours when the gimbal is switched between shooting and standby modes throughout the day. Mounted within a caddy, the batteries slide into the handle. Charging is done outside the gimbal, with the batteries within the caddy. You cannot charge the batteries within the gimbal unit. The batteries can also be charged using optional chargers such as the ikan ICH-SC4. Included with the gimbal is a small folding tripod that can be used to support the gimbal on a flat level surface when balancing, and you can close the legs and use it as a handle for extra length. The gimbal ring handle allows you to gain more control and increase maneuverability while using various shooting styles. In addition, it allows for easy transition between camera operators. - The DS2 features a 360° rotation brushless motor on the pan axis.
- For Multiple Camera Types
- With a payload up to 4 lb, the DS2 can stabilize a wide range of DSLR and mirrorless cameras including the Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 6D, Canon 7D, Sony a6300, Sony a7S II, Panasonic GH5, GoPro, and select smartphones.
- Lock Mode
- In the lock mode, the pan, pitch, and roll axes work together to keep the camera pointed in one direction. The camera's composition stays the same no matter how you move the handle.
- Auto Inversion
- Simply flip the handle over the camera to switch to this mode at any time. It can be operated in conjunction with any of the lock or follow modes.
- Three Follow Modes
- Pan axis: The DS2 will only follow your pan movements. Pitch and yaw-axis follow mode: The DS2 will follow your pan and tilt movements. Three-axis: Gives you full control, allowing you to pan, tilt, and roll.
- Construction
- It features a durable all-aluminum construction.

- The two side and top grip handles help reduce fatigue or loss of grip from extended usage. In addition, the handles make it easy to transition between camera operators.
- Ring Stands
- The two ring feet stands make it easy to calibrate or balance your gimbal, while also allowing you to put down your equipment without worrying about it falling over.
- Quick Release
- The included quick release plate lets you quickly put your gimbal on or take it off the ring handle. The plate attaches to the gimbal's 3/8"-16 threaded mount base.
- Easy Transport
- The Gimbal Ring Handle easily breaks down to allow for easy transportation.
