Product description

• Ikelite 200DLM/C Underwater TTL Housing for Canon EOS Rebel SL2 with 6" Dome Port for Select Lenses Capture images of coral, sharks, and blue-ringed octopi with your Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR, a.k.a. 200D, in Ikelite's 200DLM/C Underwater Housing with TTL Circuitry, which ships with the 6" DLM Dome Port for select lenses. It also accepts optional, interchangeable dome and flat ports for a broad array of other lenses. For complete compatibility details, see the DLM Type C Port Chart. The enclosure features a depth rating of 200'. An Ikelite sync cord bulkhead and built-in TTL circuitry enable the connection of optional external strobes.
  
  Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push-buttons, dials, and levers, afford access to virtually all camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It is white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. An optional aluminum tray with a quick-release grip or two will afford improved balance and handling, while offering a way to attach optional lighting arms.
  Construction Details
  • • Depth rating: 200'
    • Made by hand in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend
    • White on the front, top, sides, and bottom to reflect sunlight and keep the camera cool when shooting on or above the water's surface
    • Clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and camera
    • Two double-passivated, stainless steel locking latches are virtually unbreakable and make it easy to open and close the housing
    • Rear O-ring seal design and placement prevent accidental twisting or stretching, and eliminate the need for a groove that can trap sand, dirt, or debris
    • 1/2-20 threaded accessory port on the side of the housing allows for the easy installation of an optional Vacuum Kit, which will allow you to confirm the integrity of the watertight seal before diving
    • Camera is installed and removed through the front of the housing
    • Mounting plate allows for secure camera placement, and does not need to be removed for you to access the battery compartment or memory card slot
    • Mounting plate has a 1/4"-20 threaded hole for connection to a tripod
  Controls and Handling
  • • Large, ergonomic, mechanical controls, including push-buttons, dials/knobs, and levers, afford access to all camera functions except for the diopter adjustment knob, display button, Wi-Fi button, depth-of-field preview, and flash button
    • Soft knobs increase comfort and prevent your fingers from slipping when operating the most commonly used controls
    • Updated, curved shutter lever on the side is more sensitive and ergonomic than the levers on many previous housings
    • Optional Shutter Trigger Extension can be added on to allow for easy shutter activation without removing your hand from a grip
    • Redesigned push-buttons are even lighter in weight than the previously existing ones, and are also less prone to salt buildup
    • Laser-engraved control symbols on the back of the housing won't come off or fade with time
    • Camera's large, bright LCD screen is fully visible from edge to edge through the rear of the housing
    • Supereye Viewfinder gives you an enhanced view through the camera's OVF, and can be replaced quickly and easily by the optional Straight or 45° Magnified Viewfinder
    • Two 1/4"-20 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for connection to an optional tray with grips, which improves balance and handling while adding attachment points for lighting arms

      Port Details:
      • Acrylic front element corrects for the underwater distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer, thus restoring the original wide angle of view of your lens

      • Simply press the port on and tighten three thumb screws to complete the installation
    Strobe Connection and Operation
    • • Optional external strobe will be extremely helpful--and virtually essential--once you descend further than 15-20' underwater, except when shooting with color filters on very clear days with bright sunlight
      • Strobe acts as a color-correction tool, restoring hues that get absorbed by water so that your images are vibrant and accurate
      • Try to stay no more than 3-4' away from subject to preserve natural colors in images
      • Ikelite bulkhead with a hot shoe connection and built-in TTL circuitry enable the connection of optional external strobes via sync cords
      • Circuit is powered by the strobe, so there are no batteries to change and there is no maintenance to be done
      • Exposure compensation in TTL mode is supported using the camera's built-in control
      • Ikelite DS strobes, such as DS50 (above serial number 70000), 51, 125 (above serial number 5000), 160, 161, and 200, are operable in TTL or manual mode
      • Third-party strobes with electrical bulkheads, such as those from Sea & Sea, INON, and Nikonos, are operable in manual mode only
      • Cord attachment is as easy as screwing in a light bulb, and the threaded fit prevents accidental detachment during use
      • Bulkhead connector has been moved to the top of the housing to keep cords out of your way and reduce strain on the cord ends
      • Housing ships without a required sync cord and accepts various cords with single and dual connectors for Ikelite, Sea & Sea, INON, and Nikonos-type strobes
      • Instead of or in addition to a strobe, you may use a constant video light

  • Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR Camera (Black, Body Only) With a compact and lightweight body, the black Canon EOS Rebel SL2 DSLR Camera provides users with a fully-featured system that won't weigh them down. Packed into the tiny body is a capable 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 7 Image Processor, both of which work together to create sharp, vivid images at native sensitivities up to ISO 25600 and extended sensitivities up to ISO 51200. Video shooting has received a boost with Full HD 1080p recording possible at up to 60 fps. The SL2 also manages some significant body upgrades, with the main addition being a 3.0" vari-angle touchscreen LCD for intuitive operation and the ability to work at odd angles with relative ease.
    
    As a DSLR, the SL2 obviously retains the optical viewfinder for fast, natural composition of your images and it can shoot continuously at speeds up to 5 fps. This setup also features a 9-point AF system for capturing tack sharp images. If you are working in Live View or shooting video, the SL2 does offer Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, providing fast, accurate focusing in these modes and with intuitive control via the touchscreen. Additionally, the SL2 has a microphone input for higher quality audio recording during movie shooting.
    
    For those inclined to share their journeys, the SL2 features built-in Wi-Fi with NFC and Bluetooth, making connecting to a smart device fast and simple. This setup permits wireless control over camera settings as well as the ability to transfer files to your phone. The SL2 also offers a Feature Assistant to help new shooters learn how to use the camera and its functions.
    24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and DIGIC 7 Image Processor
    • Both a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor are used to deliver high sensitivity and fast camera performance to suit both stills and video applications. A flexible native ISO 100-25600 range, which can be extended to ISO 51200, suits working in a variety of lighting conditions, and the processing capabilities minimize noise for notable clarity. The processor also contributes to a fast 6 fps continuous shooting rate for photographing fast-moving subjects.
    9-Point AF System and Dual Pixel CMOS AF
    • Benefitting stills shooting with the optical viewfinder, a 9-point phase-detection autofocus system provides quick and precise focusing in difficult lighting conditions. The center point is also a cross-type for enhanced accuracy and speed. When recording video, or shooting in live view, a Dual Pixel CMOS AF system is employed that offers smooth and fast focusing performance in a similar manner to how a camcorder acquires focus. This system integrates two separate photodiodes within each pixel to provide a broad and dense network of phase-detection gathering elements across a majority of the image sensor to reduce focus hunting for faster, more direct control of focus placement. When working with still imagery, this focusing system works to acquire focus quickly and accurately, making it ideally suited to shooting and tracking moving subjects so that critical focus is attained with each shot. When shooting video, a Movie Servo AF mode offers smooth and natural focusing when changing from different subjects or different distances within the scene, as well as the ability to specify tracking sensitivity, AF speed, and Face Tracking priority. Benefited by the Touch AF system, rack focus is possible simply by touching elements within the scene on the touchscreen in order to change focus in an intuitive manner. Subject tracking in movies is also heightened due to the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system's ability to recognize subjects and maintain focus when working within changing or cluttered scenery.
    Full HD 1080p Video Recording
    • In addition to stills recording, the SL2 also supports Full HD 1080p video recording at up to 60 fps in the MP4 format. Video recording is benefitted by the inclusion of Dual Pixel CMOS AF and the Movie Servo AF focusing functions, as well as the touchscreen design of the LCD monitor for intuitive control. Additionally, an external microphone jack is incorporated in the body design for greater control over your recorded sound.
    Body Design and Other Features
    • • Large 3.0" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD provides an intuitive method for controlling focusing points, navigating menus, and reviewing imagery. This screen also features a vari-angle design to better enable working from high and low angles.
