Product description The Burning Grooves CD-ROM in Roland format is a diverse selection of alternative, power funk, progressive soul, rock & roll and grunge-head loops in a wide variety of tempos (56-215 BPM.) The loops are performed by LA session drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., with additional extreme re-mixes provided by producer Eric Persing. Each groove has a unique mix (edge, hi-fi, ambient, distorted, lo-fi, etc) and some have both hi-fi and lo-fi re-mixes. It is one of the few libraries to include different time signatures (3/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8), and hard to find tom-tom and side-stick grooves. All the loops have been tweaked for synchronization at the listed tempo. Burning Grooves also offers versions of the grooves played without kick drum and without snare drum for flexibility in customizing the loops. This technique allows the user to create their own kick or snare patterns within the loop, while also making it easier to layer a particular loop with other loops. Separate fills and intro loops are available to help smooth transitions, and can be used to create a live feel. The fills and grooves don't have any cymbal crashes that might otherwise limit their usefulness, instead allowing the user to add their own as required. Also included in Burning Grooves is an entire drum-hits library that provides multi-dynamic, multiple hit kits with flams, buzz rolls, etc., and lots of mix variations and processing effects (dry, room, ambient, lo-fi, etc.) Finally, for ease of audition, the package includes the audio CD version of the library.
