Product description Hans Zimmer Guitars - Volume 2 from Spectrasonics and distributed by Ilio is the second volume of guitar samples from the private sample library of Oscar and Grammy award winning composer Hans Zimmer, created by veteran sound designer Bob Daspit. Many of the instruments feature velocity-switching up and down slides, in addition allowing for controlling vibrato with dynamics. Instruments include a rich, jazz guitar whose sound is outstanding for solo compositions, a 1909 Gibson A2 mandolin, perfect for country and folk tunes and a 1947 lap steel slide guitar for evoking the Nashville flavor. A Coral Electric Sitar, an instrument originating in the psychedelic sixties and revived by Pat Metheny is also featured, as is the deep, Duane Eddy twang of the Electric Baritone and a steel string acoustic guitar that distinguishes itself by its clarity, tone and balance, ideal for both finger-style and solo playing. Exotic instruments from South America are also featured. The Cuatro is a hollowed-out single piece of wood with four sets of strings that shimmer with great sustain - the Charango, a unique instrument made from the body of an armadillo - the Cavaquinho, a high pitched guitar possessing great punch and depth and a Flamenco nylon guitar with tremolo and fiery rasgando. Perhaps most rare in this collection are the string sounds of the Middle East, including the Oud, a fretless eleven-string guitar with full-bodied round tones - the Saz, a six-string instrument perfect for traditional middle eastern arrangements - the Cumbus, a twelve-string instrument and the Yayli Tambur, a long necked instrument capable of haunting drones and plucky melodies. This library has been compiled to work with Akai hardware samplers and any other hardware or software samplers that conform to the Akai format. Table of Contents
