Product description Retro Funk from Spectrasonics and distributed by Ilio is a drum loop library that takes the lo-fi sounds of the 70's and presents a fresh take on the vintage sound. Retro Funk was created from months of recording sessions with multiple world-class drummers, each recorded by different engineers in numerous legendary Hollywood studios like Capital Records, The Enterprise and O'Henry's. The focus is on live drumming with feel, vintage drums and a huge variety of original grooves and fills. The sonic texture of these loops makes them very flexible and with Groove Control, the grooves can be effortlessly blended to match the music. Groove Control cuts up the library into a huge amount of possible groove mixes and tempos, allowing the user to adjust tempos, so that they can sync up with a host sequencer. However, the process also goes far beyond mere tempo shifting. It provides access to the pitch, feel, sound and in this case the mix and musical style of the groove too. A GoGo groove can be easily turned into deep house, a JB boogaloo into drum n' bass, a Fatback P-Funk groove into alternative reggae, or an R n'B stomp into a pop ballad. Song "construction elements" including variations, fills, fill bars, intros, breakdowns, ride and sidestick patterns, add-on cymbals, claps, vinyl noise and funky live percussion loops. The featured drummers on Retro Funk include Gregg Bissonette, Bob Wilson, John Ferraro and Eric Boseman. This library has been compiled to work with Roland hardware samplers. Table of Contents
