Product description Skippy's Big Bad Beats from Ilio is a sample library created by John "Skippy" Lehmkuhl containing hip hop, trip hop and dance grooves that come in a variety of flavors. Perfect for creating R n' B, dance, techno, trance, soul music, the library delivers loops that range in tempo from 66 BPM to 145 BPM, each with multiple mix variations, including full mix, simple mix, no kick, no snare, high-end only, old record mix and more, so one can actually write a complete song with breaks and turnarounds. The concept behind Big Bad Beats was to create a library that has variations within the same basic groove, not thousands of loops that have nothing in common with each other. This allows the user to add variety in a song rather than having a loop play repetitiously through the composition. At the root level, the library provides thirty-four, high-fidelity stereo dance, hip hop and pop grooves. Making any of these loops "lo-fi" is as easy as running them through distortion, EQ or effects boxes, if required. These grooves are then broken down and remixed into alternative versions that can be use at different places in a song for rhythmic variety. The over three-hundred loops were also put through a process developed by Ilio and Spectrasonics, utilizing proprietary software called Groove Control. This process cuts up the library into a huge amount of possible groove mixes and tempos. In turn this process allows the user to adjust groove tempos, so that they can sync up with a host sequencer but also goes far beyond mere tempo shifting. It provides access to the pitch, feel, sound and in many cases the mix of the groove too. This library has been compiled to work with Roland hardware samplers. Table of Contents
