Read More PoiZone from Image-Line is a subtractive software synthesizer designed to deliver professional quality sounds without requiring a steep learning curve that can often hinders creativity. The synthesizer was designed with the goal of having the least number of controls while still providing the maximum flexibility and features.
Useless knobs were removed and what remains is a user interface where every knob counts - basically a synthesizer with a lot of punch in a simple package. Two oscillators, envelopes, filters, an arpeggiator and effects are the classic building blocks of subtractive synthesis. And to get started, the software features 330 factor patches on which to build custom sounds. -
- Virtual synthesizer with 2 oscillators
- Saw and Pulse with adjustable pulse width waveforms, the two most useful shapes for subtractive synthesis
- 16-voice polyphony
- 330 high quality factory sounds
- Noise generator
- Ring modulator
- Sync modulation
- Four voice unison with user-adjustable stereo panning
- "Octaver" expands the harmonic range and flexibility of the unison sound to support the creation of realistic "vox-like" effects
- Two ADSR envelope generators - one for traditional envelope duties, the other is user assigned
- Three filter modes - low-, band- and high-pass
- Warm analog-moog-like-mega filter that can sound bright and clean or "grungy" and "angry" when resonance is increased
- Keyboard and velocity tracking for the filter
- Precise filter tuning so that when key track is set to maximum, the filter can be forced into self oscillation
- Filter features some light distortion that sounds clean on high frequencies as it has no aliasing
- Multi-mode arpeggiator
- Noise gate with an adjustable 16 step pattern and features a smoothness control and the ability to import/export patterns to .fxp files
- Tempo-synced delay for click-free stereo delays and delay time modulation
- Lo-cut and hi-cut
- Warm sounding chorus with a great unison emulation
- MIDI-learn features the ability to save/load MIDI setups to/from a patch
- LFO and mod wheel can be assigned to a wide range of performance parameters
