  • The Impact Cruiser: the Monolight That's Built for Everywhere
  With the introduction of the Cruiser AC/DC 500Ws Battery Powered TTL Monolight Impact brings you wireless freedom not only from the AC outlet, but from PC and TTL cords as well. The flash head is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery and can provide up to 350 full-power flashes on a single charge. You can also run the Cruiser in the studio on AC power via its multi-voltage adapter. A charger is provided to top up the power in the removable battery. The light's 10W LED modelling is designed to draw minimal power. The flash head's wireless TTL works with your camera's auto-exposure system like a speedlight. The Cruiser has a built-in wireless receiver that allows you to control the light wirelessly at distances up to 328'. A Cruiser Wireless Controller for Nikon, Canon, or Sony cameras is required for remote use. You can also shoot in manual mode for simple remote triggering. Part of the TTL system, HSS (High Speed Sync) allows flash syncing (Canon and Nikon) up to 1/8000 sec to overwhelm the sun, control background light intensity or to shoot with wide apertures. The Cruiser backs its wireless technology with solid core specs. It has a 9-stop power range that can be fine-tuned in 1/10 stop increments, while it recycles to full power in just three seconds. It also boasts short flash durations from 1/1000 to 1/9000 sec. for freezing action in sports or dance or for special effects with water or other liquids, while maintaining a steady color temperature of 5700K. The Cruiser is ready for worldwide use thanks to the inclusion of a 100-240 VAC AC adapter and battery charger. The light also comes with a 7" reflector, stand mount, PC cord, and a protective cap. The unit is firmware updatable to keep you current with enhanced capabilities.
  TTL, High Speed Sync and Manual Mode
  • The Cruiser's dedicated 2.4 GHz transmitter for Canon, Nikon, or Sony enables photographers to take advantage of their camera's TTL system just as they would with a speedlight. Having 8 channels, 4 groups provides complete control of the Cruiser with +/- 3 stop EV fine tuning from a distance of 328 feet. Part of the TTL system users can access is the Cruiser's High Speed Sync mode (Nikon and Canon only), which enables syncing at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 of a sec to control ambient light levels or shoot with wide apertures. Wireless manual shooting is also available utilizes the entire 9-stop power range; in 1/10th stop increments from the controller.
  AC or Battery Power
  • The Cruiser runs on 100-240 VAC current via its adapter but can also output up to 350 full power flashes with its lithium-ion battery.
  LED Modeling Lamp
  • The Cruiser's 10W LED modeling lamp is designed for minimal drain on the flash head's battery.
  Freeze Action with Short Flash Durations
  • Flash durations as short as 1/1000 to 1/9000 sec allow action freezing for sports, dance, or special effects like water or liquid splashes.

  Get the most out of your Cruiser TTL 500 Monolight with this shoe-mounted Impact Cruiser Wireless Controller for Canon cameras. This wireless 2.4 GHz transmitter enables remote control and E-TTL / E-TTL II communication from the camera to the light, including support for high-speed, 1st & 2nd curtain sync. It features an impressive range of 328' and has access to eight channels to limit interference. Also, the controller can set up three groups for added control and can remotely access flash output in 1/10-stop increments, turn on/off the sound alert, and set the modeling light power. These settings are easily seen and set via a backlit LCD and a micro-USB port is available for future firmware updates. For power, it accepts two easily-found AAA batteries and the shoe mount is locking for added security.

  This Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand is a black anodized aluminum support that rises to a height of 10' and folds down to 33.5" for storage and transport. The stand will handle up to 8.5 lb and is topped with a 5/8" stud with 1/4"-20 threads. It has a wide footprint of 38" for greater stability. Air cushioning gently lowers the light when making height adjustments to protect equipment and fingers.
