Product description The Impact Quikbox Softbox Kit (15 x 15") is a great way to expand the capabilities of your shoe mount stand flash unit. The Quikbox lives up to its name by popping open and assembling in a couple of minutes. Just pop open the softbox, add the diffusers and included adapter ring and shoe adapter. Mount to the included umbrella bracket, slip it onto the provided air-cushioned light stand and you're ready to shoot. Using a softbox with your shoe-mounted flash will help to diffuse and to evenly distribute the light output of the flash. This will help to reduce those harsh shadows which are often the result of flash photography. Also included is an internal diffuser, to minimize the possibility of hotspots. In addition, the recessed front face helps to control light spill. The included flash bracket is adjustable vertically, and features a universal shoe which is adjustable horizontally. These adjustments make this unit compatible with virtually all standard flash units (incl. Nikon SB-900 & SB-910), as well as radio receivers. In addition, for those receivers that do not feature a bottom shoe connector, the bracket shoe is removable to expose a male 1/4"-20 screw. - A Beginner's Guide to Using Softboxes Demo
The Impact Shoe Mount Umbrella Bracket is a versatile bracket that will fit on almost any light stand. It includes two removable, reversible studs to adapt to light stands with top studs smaller than the standard 5/8". This bracket tilts and swivels to make aiming the light or flash easy. It also includes a cold shoe mount, which will accept virtually any shoe-mount flash unit (except Minolta/Sony). Note: Not compatible with Nikon SB-900, SB-910, or Canon 600EX-RT. As an alternative, please see Impact #9101880. - Two Removable Studs
- The provided studs can be removed from the interior of the bracket by totally loosening the wing knobs and letting them slide out. These studs can be used to mount the bracket to a 1/4"-20 (standard) and 3/8" threaded stand or tripod tops. One stud is used for the flash shoe. The shoe may be unscrewed from this stud.
