Product description The AV4X-RS 4x1 Video and Stereo Audio Switcher with RS-232 Port from Inday is a four-input to one-output, three-channel switcher. Two channels are dedicated for stereo analog audio and the third channel for video or coax digital audio. The IC’s used for each signal path are specifically designed for the signal type being switched. The result is a very low noise/distortion and flat frequency response output for both audio and video.Typical applications include combining four different A/V sources, such as VCRs, DVD players, and camcorders to one common output. Although the AV4X-RS is primarily used for switching stereo audio and video, the video channel can also be used to switch coaxial digital audio. This arrangement would allow both analog and digital audio to be switched at the same time.Control of your switcher is provided through a front panel switch which cycles through the inputs. It is also used to program the remote control characteristics. The unit also comes with a remote control to directly access any of the four inputs. For advanced integration, the AV4X-RS comes equipped with an RS-232 serial control port that allows the unit to connect to any computer for direct control and status. - One wideband video channel (120 MHz bandwidth)
