Product description INOGENI Announces SHARE, a Dual-Stream USB 3.0 Converter and Capture Device Read More Requiring no separate drivers, the INOGENI Share is able to convert two simultaneous video signals for recording or streaming via your computer. Since no drivers are required, the Share can be used with a Windows- or Linux-based computer with a USB 3.0 connection, and it can be easily set up for use in videoconferencing, lecture capture, and streaming applications. OS X can support a single video signal over USB 3.0. The front panel has a USB Type-B connector for a lead to the host computer and a two-port USB 3.0 hub for connecting other peripherals. Status indicator LEDs are located next to the USB ports for checking the unit's operation. The rear panel contains all the other I/O, power, and control ports. These include digital and analog video inputs by way of an HDMI port, a DVI port, and a composite RCA port. VGA and HDMI signals are also supported via included adapters for the DVI port. Separate analog line-level audio I/O is accommodated via 3.5mm stereo jacks. RS-232 control can be connected using the RJ45 port. Power is supplied with the included AC adapter when connected to the barrel jack. - Video Processing
- All video processing is performed by the Share using specialized hardware. Operations that can be performed include scaling, frame-rate conversion, and color-space conversion. Audio can be embedded with the HDMI signal or de-embedded and replaced by the analog audio input. Before being sent to the host computer, all video, regardless of resolution, is converted to an 8-bit 4:2:2 color space.
- Input Versatility
- Included with the Share converter are HDMI and VGA adapters for the DVI port. This allows you to use the DVI port for a second HDMI input or an analog VGA input for older computer systems. Composite video is also supported via an integrated RCA port. Using the included resources, you can use the first HDMI input for a camera while the second input handles content devices like a computer or a DVD player. Frame rates of up to 60p can be used at any of the supported resolutions. Note: Two 1080p60 signals cannot be streamed at the same time due to USB 3.0 bandwidth restrictions. The onboard video processing hardware should be used to convert one of the inputs to 30p.
