Product description Multi-Monitors: Maximizing Multitasking Read More In a rugged metal enclosure, the 2-Port Dual-Link DVI Secure KVM Switch from IOGEAR allows you to control up to 2 computers while offering advanced security. The switch supports a single monitor configuration and includes dual USB 2.0 ports for connecting a mouse and keyboard for controlling the connected computers. In addition, you can connect speakers or a mic for your console as well as for each computer that you connect. Plus, you can connect one USB peripheral for each computer.
In terms of security, the switch employs a number of different measures, making it suitable for use in government applications. It is validated to EAL2+ security requirements and is NIAP-certified. Each channel on the switch is isolated, preventing any data transfers between computers. In addition, if the cover is removed, the unit will stop working and its LEDs will flash. The keyboard buffer is cleared each time data is transmitted to the switch. The switch's firmware is designed to not be reprogrammed. The switch has its own built-in power supply, which can save space near power outlets, and is compatible with computers running Windows, Linux, Mac, or Sun. - USB Control
