Product description With the 8-Port IP-Based KVM and 17" LCD KVM Console Bundle from IOGEAR, users can control up to eight computers using the included 17" TFT LCD monitor complete with a keyboard and touchpad. The KVM switch features a variety of connections including a single console port, eight computer/KVM ports, one USB 1.1 Type-A port, PS/2 and USB connectivity for a second mouse and keyboard, and a single HDB-15 female secondary console video port. In addition to ports, the KVM switch features a single firmware upgrade slide switch, eight push button port selection, and a dedicated reset button. Once configured, this 1 RU rack-mountable 8-port IP-based KVM switch supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 1024, and works with Windows, Mac, Sun Solaris, and Linux-based operating systems. Additionally, this switch supports hot-pluggable connectivity, eliminating the need to power down the switch when adding or removing computers from the system. The easy-to-use interface features push button functionality along with a browser-based GUI for easy control of connected computers. Network security has also been addressed, as IOGEAR has implemented SSL 128-bit data encryption and RSA 1024-bit certificates to help avoid unauthorized users from gaining access to connected computers. - Video quality up to 1280 x 1024 on LCD; up to 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz/24-bit color depth for remote access
- Multi-platform OS support for Windows, Mac, Sun Solaris, and Linux
- Custom ASIC provides an auto-sensing function that recognizes the position of each station on the installation
- DynaSync stores the local monitor's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) to optimize display resolution
- Rack-mountable in a 19" (1 RU) system; adjustable depth allows fitting into different sizes of racks
- Hot-pluggable—add or remove computers without having to power-down the switch
- Front-panel USB port allows connected computers to access USB peripherals, such as USB flash drives or hard drives. Only systems connected with the USB KVM cables will be able to access the front USB port for system upgrades and shared peripherals
- Dual interface—the automatic interface detection supports computers with either PS/2 or USB connections
- Complete keyboard and mouse emulation for error-free booting
- Support for special keys on Mac and Sun keyboards

Through the remote efforts of a Tech was able to get back online, however, "settings" are only listed 1 - 5 with no action listed as was 'visibly' available, (i.e. Scan both sides, Black and White, Color, etc.)
