Product description The GKBSR201TAA Smart Card Reader Keyboard (TAA Compliant) from IOGEAR is a 104-key keyboard with integrated smart card reader providing a secure terminal for computer users in government agencies, federal contractors, hospitals, education, banking or even at home. A Smart Card is the shape of a credit card, however it is embedded with a chip that can process data, and permit access to delegated computer systems. Smart Cards are often programmed with a PIN number to ensure security for both the card holder and the system they want to access.
The GKBSR201's card reader uses a contact system which is less prone to misaligning your card when it is inserted, eliminating the possibility of it being misread. The IOGEAR GKBSR201 is an efficient and accurate Smart Card reader solution. The keyboard with the integrated card reader solution will help minimize the clutter of an external, free-standing card reading device on your desk. - FIPS-201 Compliant: Meets US Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 201
