Product description Transform your Thunderbolt 3 laptop into a full 4K/5K professional workstation with the IOGEAR Quantum Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station Pro 85W. Use the included Thunderbolt 3 cable to hook-up your laptop to this docking station, giving you access to a host of high-speed ports.
At the rear of the docking station you'll find a DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3 port. They can be used together to give you a dual 4K display setup, or if you need 5K support, just use the Thunderbolt 3 port for your display. One USB 3.0 Type-C port, one Gigabit Ethernet, and one 3.5mm input and output round out the available ports to give your laptop the connectivity normally enjoyed by desktop computers.
At the front of the dock are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports. They both feature BC 1.2 Fast Charging technology. Use both ports to charge a smartphone and tablet, or save one for a full-size keyboard & mouse combo. - High-End Graphics - 5K or Dual 4K
- The Docking Station Pro has high-end display support, outputting 5K resolution graphics and video at 60 Hz via the Thunderbolt 3 port, or 4K resolution at 60 Hz to a dual-monitor setup via the Thunderbolt 3 port and DisplayPort.
- Daisy-Chain Thunderbolt 3 Devices
- Use the Thunderbolt 3 port for a single device, or daisy-chain up to five peripherals simultaneously.
You can use this capability to string together five external hard drives for a massive amount of storage, while you use the DisplayPort for a 5K monitor. Or you can string four external hard drives and one 4K monitor together, using the DisplayPort for a second 4K monitor.
Whether you decide to daisy-chain or not, you will be able to take advantage of the impressive 40 Gb/s data transfer rate of Thunderbolt 3. That's twice as fast as Thunderbolt 2, and eight times as fast as USB 3.0. A great option to have if you're video editing and need to consistently move massive amounts of data. - Charge While You Work
