Product description Built with a 4 RU form factor and a 1.2mm SECC zinc-coated steel chassis, the DAGE412U40DE-3MS 12-Bay Mini-SAS RAID Enclosure from iStarUSA is an external 12-bay RAID enclosure that supports software-configured RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, each of which offers speed, performance, or a combination of both. For those who do not need the benefits of RAID, this enclosure also supports JBOD. It connects to your host system using its three Mini-SAS (SFF-8088) ports, and its twelve drive bays natively support 3.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, SATA 1.5 Gb/s, SAS-2 6 Gb/s, and SAS-1 3 Gb/s drives. Each drive is mounted within its own drive tray, each of which is equipped with a black hard drive handle, allowing users to add or remove drives thanks to integrated hotswap support. Power and drive activity LEDs let users know that things are running smoothly, system cooling is provided by a single 120mm ball bearing fan, and iStarUSA's DAGE412U40DE-3MS operates using an integrated 500W power supply. Included with this RAID enclosure is a power cord.
