Product description Watch digital signals on your analog TV with the IVIEW 3500STBII Multi-Function Digital Converter Box. ATSC and QAM tuners allow you to pull in digital over-the-air content, including unencrypted digital cable channels, for viewing without monthly fees or an additional set-top box. This digital converter box features an analog pass-through mode that allows you to watch analog video through channels 3 or 4 in areas where analog channels are still present. With support for high-definition up to 1080p, you can enjoy full HD broadcasts when used with a compatible display.
The front panel USB allows the IVIEW 3500STBII to act as a multimedia player as it automatically recognizes popular audio and video file formats. The USB port also supports hard drives, sold separately, for recording content. The included remote control gives you access to features like closed captioning and the electronic program guide. - Front Panel

- Power button allows you to manually power the IVIEW 3500STBII on or off at your convenience.
- Using the channel up and down buttons, you can change the channel to your desired TV station.
- The LED display conveniently displays whether you are watching a channel, scanning for channels, or if the menu is open.
- Power Light - Red light indicates that the converter box is in stand-by mode.
- Lock Light - Green light indicates that the converter box is powered on and locking-in signals.
- USB Port - The USB port allows you to connect an external hard drive up to 3TB to record your favorite programming or play your movies.

the 3500 is a atsc + quam that is in my region but the 3300 is a bit different.

i wonder why on the model 3300 you can connect an HDD up to 4Tb but on the 3500, it is limited to 3 Tb.
second, after recording on HDD connected on this box can i connect this HDD to watch it on my computer with big display, could it be edited to remove parts that i do not like and can i decide to save it with extention of my choice and resolution.
