Product description

The Jensen Transformers Iso-Max PC-2XR is a 2-channel, "pro-to-consumer" line isolator designed to convert a +4 dBu balanced line-level signal to a consumer -10 dBV unbalanced line-level signal. It eliminates hum and buzz caused by ground loops, and ensures that the audio signal is faithfully delivered when connecting the balanced output from a mixing desk to the unbalanced input of a hand-held video recorder, laptop or other consumer audio devices. The PC-2XR features two Jensen high-performance transformers that provide galvanic isolation between the input and output, reducing common-mode noise by as much as 120 dB. An 8-position DIP switch lets you optimize ground-loop filtering to suit your specific installation needs. The unit delivers a flat frequency-response from 10 Hz to 140 kHz, and can withstand signals in excess of +21 dBu down to 20 Hz, without discernible distortion. Easy to set up, with no power required, the PC-2XR comes with a removable screw-down barrier strip for quick installation in NEMA enclosures and 19" racks. The device is equipped with gold-plated XLR input connectors, gold-plated RCA output connectors, and a rugged, flanged-steel enclosure that is well-suited to stand up to the rigors of live use.
