Product description The Meade Cassegrain Telescope MOTOFOCUS with Round Knob from JMI Telescopes is a battery operated hand control with an electric focus motor that attaches to the shaft of a focuser knob (or the knob itself) for precise, vibration-free focusing without the need to touch the telescope. It is suitable for visual and photographic use and features round knobs with variable speed for coarse and fine adjustments. The JMI Hand Unit allows precise positioning through electronic braking. Mounting is easy and requires no drilling or tapping. The optional Digital Read-Out (DRO) or Digital Focus Counter (DFC) can be added to the system for improved focusing accuracy and repeatability. Note: Not compatible with ETX series and 16" telescopes. 14" SCT Exception: It appears that all Meade 14" SCTs have a round knob with a larger diameter than the smaller SCTs and require this MOTOFOCUS. To verify this information with your 14" SCT, measure the knob diameter. It should be 0.975". If the diameter is 0.865" then this unit will not fit your equipment.
