Product description The JMI NGC-superMAX with 2 Encoders Kit is designed for those who wish to build their own hardware for mounting the encoders. It includes the NGC-superMAX Computer, 2 encoders, encoder cable, computer mounting bracket, and instructional video. The computer has a serial interface, and can be used with a computer or as a stand-alone unit. The NGC-superMAX features many modes including: Align, Align Star, Az Alt, Catalog, Encoder, Fix Alt Ref, Identify, RA Dec, Setup, Sidereal, Status, Time, Timer and Tour. There are over 29,000 objects in the database including about 1,100 which are user-definable. The LCD display has a heater option for very cold weather. Free software and database upgrades are available as a download from the internet. For the encoders specify tics-per-revolution to the manufacturer after ordering.
