Product description The LTNG-XTD Portable Thunderbolt SSD from JMR Electronics is a lightweight, portable solid-state drive ideal for quickly moving and editing data. Featuring an M.2 form factor, it has 256GB of storage capacity and uses the Thunderbolt-2 connector for data transfers at four times the speed of USB 3.0. Read and write speeds of 1200 to 1400 MB/s allow the user to fill this drive with large video files, pictures, music, and data in just minutes. The Thunderbolt-2 interface also provides the operating power for the drive, so no additional cables are required. The LTNG-XTD is compatible with all Thunderbolt-2 and Thunderbolt-1 compliant host devices. For continuous operation the LTNG-XTD is encased in an anodized-aluminum finned heatsink, which allows 24/7 operation if needed. An 18" Thunderbolt cable is included with this SSD. - Thunderbolt 2
- The Thunderbolt-2 controller and interface provides data transfers at four times the speed of USB 3.0: 20 Gb/s vs. 5 Gb/s.
- Lightweight and Portable
- Keep your data with you at all times thanks to the compact, portable design. It's 2.6 x 1.7 x 5.2" and 1.3 lbs, so you can carry it around in your hand or in a bag. SSDs do not have any internal moving parts like a traditional hard drive does so don't worry about damaging it via normal handling.
- 24/7 Capable
- The LTNG-XTD has an integrated anodized-aluminum finned heatsink covering its entire surface area, which allows sustained use 24/7 if the need arises.
- Bus-Powered
- Power is provided by the Thunderbolt connection. No external power source is required.
