Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More fzyrzwfsbzaarqcuxswsxvbxdqabba The JMR ELECTRONICS 32TB BlueStor 16-Bay SAS Expander JBOD Dual BP With RAID Controller/ Drives/ Cables is a high capacity, dual backplane storage system complete with a RAID controller, 16x 2.0 TB 3.5" SATA 6.0 Gb/s hard drives, and 2x external SAS cables. The device boasts 16 hot-swappable SATA 6.0 Gb/s disk drive bays, also capable of supporting optional SAS 3.0 Gb/s drives, featuring fully redundant power and cooling via hot-swappable modules (SAS drives not included). It offers a transfer speed of up to 1700 MB/s. Utilizing zero cables in the data path and vertically installed drives, the Expander is capable of delivering higher performance and signal integrity, with cooler operating disk drives.
The disk canisters are constructed of lightweight, low-cost resin that minimizes drive vibration while offering superb air flow. Each canister has an integrated light pipe, latching handle and modular EMI shield for elegant simplicity. The SAS Expander possesses dual 4x SAS ports for host connectivity and concatenation to extra storage units via low-cost multi-lane SAS cables. It works with virtually every SAS and SATA-2 (3.5" form factor) disk drive on the market today, and is also compatible with a long list of host adapters and SAS RAID controllers. This SES 2.0 compliant device also boasts a unique Physical User Interface featuring real-time disk activity / failure status indicators, plus visible and audible alarms for power or cooling system failures. User-friendlier than the average Enterprise-class hardware, the BlueStor 3U rackmounts all have front-panel "on-off" and "alarm reset" switches.
Your SAS Expander is field-upgradable to the unique, patented PeSAN direct-attached PCI storage RAID system via replacement of a single plug-in module. The SAS Expander and PeSAN 3U rackmounts utilize interchangeable FRUs for simple expandability and reduced spares cost. A configuration with dual SAS expander modules is also possible for better performance, yielding up to 1.2 GB/s data throughput rates for high-demand applications. The use of SAS drives provides maximum bandwidth and I/O for higher performance environments. SATA drives are more affordable and better for Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), nearline storage, Content Addressable Storage (CAS), or disk-to-disk back-up deployments. The Expander also supports the intermixing of SAS and SATA disk drives within the same enclosure for unmatched configuration flexibility. - 16 hot-swappable SATA 6.0 Gb/s disk drive bays, also capable of supporting optional SAS 3.0 Gb/s drives, featuring fully redundant power and cooling via hot-swappable modules (SAS drives not included).
