Product description Model 55T ESI Tally Interface for GY-HD250 and GY-HM700 from ESI Inc activates the tally feature on the camera and at the same time performs RCU functions on up to four cameras over long distances. The purpose of the Model 55T is to allow greater distances between the RCU and the camera. For tally operation, Model 55T utilizes switch closure contacts along with terminal blocks to send on and off tally light commands to the camera.
Model 55T is compatible with any JVC camera equipped with an RM-LP55 RCU interface, which include the GY-HM700, GY-HD200, and GY-HD250 models. When used as an extender, Model 55T increases the operational distance between the RCU and the remote camera from 15' (4.6 m) to up to 2000' (610 m) via a bi-directional RS-422 interface. For cameras mounted on an ESI pan/tilt system, the Model 55T can be used to control pan and tilt operation while the RCU is used to control standard camera functions.
In a pan/tilt setup, Model 55T requires the use of the Base in the control room and separate Cam modules at each camera location. When used with fixed cameras, only the Base chassis is required at the control room location. Power to the Base is provided via the included AC adapter while each Cam module receives power from its respective camera.
When used with pan/tilt cameras, Model 55T supports the use of a single 8-conductor cable (similar to a CAT 5 cable / ESI part 2060046-xx) between the remote cameras and the Model 180 control station. Four of the wires are used for pan/tilt signals and the other four are used for RCU/camera control. In this scenario, an additional splitter cable is required at the control end (ESI part 2060047) and at the camera end (ESI part 2060048) of the cable. - Sends tally and RCU commands to up to 4 cameras
- Supports cable distances of up to 2000'
- Operates pan and tilt functions alongside RCU control
- Uses simple four-wire bi-directional RS-422 interface
