Product description Now with the capability to support 4K resolution video, KanexPro's HDBaseT HDMI Extender can extend an HDMI signal over twisted pair cabling over distances up to 330 feet. While increasing the carrying distance, HDBaseT technology doesn't alter the HDMI signal so HDCP and EDID information are passed through. HDBaseT can also carry bi-directional infrared (IR) signals between the transmitter and receiver for device control as well as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) so only one power supply is required to power both the transmitter and receiver. Because HDBaseT only requires cost-efficient standard category twisted-pair cables (Cat 5e/6), integration is simplified since many buildings are already wired with compatible cabling.
