Product description Combining the attributes of a military-style lensatic compass with a baseplate model used with maps, the Dakar Touring Compass from Kasper & Richter is a versatile navigation tool. Use the flip-up optic and sighting line to take a bearing from your surroundings, or use the baseplate to plot a course on a map. Adjustable declination saves you the trouble of computing the difference between magnetic north and true north. The baseplate is marked for measurements on metric 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 and imperial 1:63,000 map scales, and has centimeter/millimeter and inch rulers and cutouts for map marking. The 360° azimuth scale is marked for 1° resolution, and the capsule is fluid-filled dampened. -
