Product description It might be easy to dismiss this as a simple chorus pedal, but the Seafoam Plus Vibrato/Chorus Pedal from Keeley has a few tricks up its sleeve. By default this chorus is set in the Seafoam mode which elicits classic vintage BBD-cicruit tones. For chorus freaks, flipping the Mode switch down to Dual Chorus offers separate chorusing depths for high and low frequencies, offering exceptional flexibility in how the effect is implemented. Finally, the ATD mode borrows a page from Keeley's own 30ms automatic double-tracker, offering true chorus with two added detuned and delayed voices. The front control functions change depending on the mode, so check the features section to see what each one does. - Internal DIP Switches
- Inside the pedal are 2 DIP switches. The first one changes the operation of the pedal to BASS mode, enabling more bass-centric controls and sounds. The second control changes the default full-range chorus sound to a more vintage, warm tone with low noise.
Operating Modes - ADT/Dimension
- This mode enables the automatic double-tracker developed for the 30ms pedal which adds two voices to the dry signal with each one slightly detuned for a true chorusing effect. The Space knob adds in Abbey Chamber Reverb for extra ambience.
Bass Mode: Internal DIP switch activates a bass chorus, flanger, and tremolo too, with the Space knob for positive and negative feedback control. Center position is 0% feedback. Also works well with standard guitars. - Seafoam
- As the standard operating mode for the pedal, Seafoam mode offers a wide array of modulated chorus sounds from a Bucket-Brigade Delay circuit. The Space control acts as a tone control for brighter or warmer sounds, depending on your preference.
Bass Mode: Changes the frequency response of the Tone control to be more "bass-friendly". - Dual Chorus
- Engages a crossover based Dual Chorus Engine that allows for different chorus depths for different frequencies (the crossover point is at around E4, or the high E-string on a standard-tuned guitar) Depth and Space controls adjust high and low-frequency rates, respectively.
Bass Mode: Changes the crossover to 200Hz. Controls - Space: It's different for each mode. See Operating Modes above
- Rate/Tune: Controls the rate of the chorus. In ADT mode, it changes the tuning of the chorus voices
- Depth/Time: Controls the depth of the chorus. In ATD mode, it changes the delay time of the chorus voices
- Mix: Adjusts the ratio of the wet and dry signals, and in the 12:00 position it is 50/50 split
