Product description Keeley's Stahlhammer Distortion Pedal is a foray into high-gain distortion sounds. Two types of distortion sounds can be generated, so you can choose between having a crunchy sound for rhythms or an extra-saturated lead tone at the flip of a switch. The EQ section mimics the response of a tube amplifier with Bass, Middle, and Treble controls with musical adjustment ranges to shape your sound. True bypass switching takes the pedal's circuit completely out of your signal chain to ensure that your signal passes through unmodified while the pedal is disengaged. Whether dialing in subtle break-up or going for an all out blitzkrieg, the Stahlhammer has you covered. - Gain Switch
- With the switch up you get tube amp crunch with the LED lighting up as it is actually part of the circuit. With the switch in the down position, Lead mode is activated. The LED does not light, and more gain and saturation is added to the sound.
Controls - Distortion: Turn it up for more hard-clipped gain and saturation. Below 9 o'clock will retain your amp's natural character but with a little extra grit
- Bass: Adjusts low-end response, 100 Hz and lower
- Middle: Adjusts mid frequencies from 800 Hz to 1.6 kHz. Scoop the mids or push them up to cut through a mix
- Treble: Adjusts the treble frequencies from 3.2 kHz and higher
- Level: A high-gain output buffer can be turned up to drive your amplifier's input stage
