Product description Designed for laptops, but compatible with virtually all USB-compatible systems, the SD3600 Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station from Kensington can be used to interface with a wide variety of peripherals, as well as decrease the number of cables running into your system. It connects to your system using an included USB 3.0 Type-A to USB Type-B cable, which connects the docking station's USB 3.0 Type-B port to your system's USB 3.0 or 2.0 Type-A port.
This docking station provides users with two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one HDMI port, one DVI-I port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one 3.5mm headphone jack, and one 3.5mm microphone jack. The USB 3.0 ports may be used for higher speed data transfers at speeds up to 5 Gb/s, while the USB 2.0 ports may be used for data transfer speeds up to 480 Mb/s or connecting peripherals such as a keyboard or mouse. Both the HDMI and DVI-I port may be used to output 1080p video and when combined, two 1080p displays may be simultaneously powered. Network connectivity may be achieved using the Gigabit Ethernet port and using a separately sold mount, this dock may be mounted to the back of a 75 or 100mm VESA-compatible display. Additionally, an integrated Kensington Lock Slot helps prevent this dock from being stolen.
The SD3600 Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station is compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, and 7. It includes a DVI-to-VGA adapter, a DVI-to-HDMI adapter, a power supply, and US/UK/EU/AU plug adapters. For added peace of mind Kensington backs up this item with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. - Dual HD Video Output
- With an HDMI port and a DVI-I port, you can expand your workspace and increase productivity by adding two external displays. The HDMI connects directly while the DVI-I port can be connected directly or through the included DVI-to-VGA or DVI-to-HDMI adapter
- Zero Footprint Mounting
- The dock can be mounted to the back of a 75 or 100mm VESA-compatible external monitor (mounting plate sold separately), allowing you to keep your desktop less cluttered
- Extend or Mirror Modes
- Extend mode allows you to drag an open application to an external monitor so you can work across multiple screens, while Mirror mode allows you to replicate the content that's on your computer display to an external screen
- Two Front USB 3.0 Type-A Ports
- Transfer data at up to 5 Gb/s with the USB 3.0 Type-A ports, which are positioned on the front of the dock, which is well suited for devices such as smartphones, tablets, or external hard drives
- Four Rear USB 2.0 Ports
- The four USB 2.0 Type-A ports are well suited for your peripheral productivity accessories like a keyboard, mouse, or printer and also help keep cables or wireless receivers hidden from view
- Display Settings Software
- Allows you to easily switch display modes, change the master monitor, or adjust the alignment and position of your screens. Kensington's corporate install support provides for mass installation via the Microsoft server
