Product description Expand the connectivity of your laptop with the Kensington SD5000T Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station. With dual Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, the SD5000T can support up to 40 Gb/s of data, which is 8 times the speed of USB 3.0. It also supports dual 4K video. You can also connect via the DisplayPort. The SD5000T can also charge your laptop, providing up to 85W of charging power. There are also dual USB 3.0 Type-A ports for compatibility with older devices. Many modern laptops now lack a wired Ethernet connection so the SD5000T provides a Gigabit Ethernet jack. The SD5000T also features Zero Footprint Mounting, which means it can be mounted to the back of a 75mm or 100mm VESA-compatible external monitor (mounting plate sold separately). There is also a Kensington lock slot, as well, for security purposes. Features - Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
- The SD5000T supports 4K on two displays. It also supports 4096 x 2160 30 bpp @ 60 Hz via the DisplayPort.
- The 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks provide quick access to audio devices.
- The 85W Power Delivery can charge the host device (Host device must be designed to support Power Delivery for dock to provide charging).
- There are dual USB 3.0 ports, one of which is a 2.1A charging port to power a tablet or smartphone.
- The Zero Footprint Mounting provides the option to attach the dock to the back of any VESA-compatible monitor.
- Daisy chaining allows for up to 5 additional Thunderbolt-enabled devices to be connected from a single port.
- The Gigabit Ethernet port provides a reliable 1 Gb/s wired Internet connection.
