Product description The 2' Double Bank Select/VE System from Kino Flo consists of four components: a 2' double CFX-2401 fixture, a twist-on mounting plate, a 227 double-bank ballast and a 25' extension cable. It was designed in this modular manner to allow the greatest flexibility when working on film production where the gaffer and DP are constantly being challenged to light challenging locations and problem solve at a moment's notice. At just 4.7 lb this lightweight fixture can easily be hand-held if the need arises. It can also be clamped to a pipe or attached to the wall or ceiling with tape. This versatile, compact unit will fit into many tight spaces that would disqualify other types of light. The Double Bank Select is a simple light source, often hidden in small spaces such as elevators and limousines, or used as a set practical.
The system includes the remote, high-output electronic ballast which is capable of running a lamp up to 75 ft away. Individual control of each lamp is available. Like all Kino Flos, it is flicker-free and utterly quiet. When the tube harness is pulled out of its fixture, it can even be mounted with other lamps around a camera lens to form a ring light. It is cool to the touch, so a bare lamp can be hand held.
