Product description Designed utilizing customer feedback and recommendations, the G1 Gimbal Head from Kirk Enterprises has been engineered to deliver a user friendly experience paired with professional performance. With a maximum load capacity of 80 lb, the G1's design allows the user to properly balance almost any camera and telephoto lens combination atop a stable tripod, allowing the camera to move without weight-induced resistance. This allows the user to pan and tilt quickly while tracking fast moving subjects like athletes, vehicles, or wildlife. With a weight of just 4 lb, the G1 is an easy addition to any lightweight tripod set-up and a max height of 9.8" makes it easy to store while fully assembled.
The G1's innovative design includes tension control on both the pan and tilt axis allowing the user to adjust the speed of the head's movement to their preference. Also, a handy push-button pan lock allows the head to be removed easily from the tripod without the panning base accidentally spinning. Keeping with long-lens plate standards, the G1 uses an Arca-type compatible quick release, ensuring wide compatibility with most long-lens Arca plates and Arca-type lens feet. Additionally, the addition of large captive knobs allows the controls to remain easily accessible with bare hands or when wearing padded gloves.
