Product description The KLP-450 Quick Release Lens Plate for Nikon AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR from Kirk is an Arca-type compatible plate. The plate itself is black anodized aluminum and the lip is satin sliver anodized, making them scratch-resistant. The lip can be mounted with a 90° or 30° angle, for a snug fit against the tripod collar on the lens, but it is recommended by Kirk to mount the lip with the 30° angle for this particular lens. This feature helps keep a tighter fit and prevents the lens foot from pivoting while mounted to the plate. The 1/4"-20 screw for the lens foot is made of stainless steel. Two included smaller screws can be used as safety stops to prevent accidental slippage on the head. There are three additional 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 mounting holes on the plate for better positioning on the bottom of the lens foot. The plate has a double dovetail design for rigidity while clamped by an Arca-type head. All Kirk plates are made in the USA. - Double Dovetail
- Double dovetail design ensures that the plate cannot twist off accidentally and allows attachment of additional accessories to the upper or lower surface of the plate
- 90° or 30° Mountable Lip
- The lip can be mounted with a 90° or 30° angle, depending on the shape of the tripod collar; the lip prevents the lens foot from pivoting while mounted to the plate
- Safety Stops
- Stops prevent accidental slippage on the head
- Three Additional 1/4-20" and One 3/8"-20 Mounting Holes
- Four additional holes on the plate for better positioning
