Product description The LP-63 Replacement Lens Foot for Select Nikon Lenses from Kirk Enterprises attaches directly to the lens collar and locks into place by tightening the two originally supplied Nikon screws located towards the rear of the foot. The lens foot is made with a double dovetail design, which adds quick release functionality to the bottom of the foot. The foot will fit the following Nikon lenses: 600mm f/4E AFS FL ED VR, 500mm f/4E AFS FL ED VR, 800mm F/5.6E AFS FL ED VR, and 400mm f/2.8E AFS FL ED VR. The replacement foot is compatible with most Arca-type clamps, and the double dovetail allows accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot. By replacing the foot originally supplied, it gives the lens a lower profile and a lower center of gravity; therefore, it has a better balance and stability when the lens is placed on a gimbal-type head. Located on the bottom of the foot are two safety stops, which prevent you from accidentally pulling the lens when the ball head clamp is partially open. The lens foot has been black anodized and powder coated, which makes it resistant against scratches and corrosion. - Lens foot is compatible with Nikon 600mm f/4E AFS FL ED VR, 500mm f/4E AFS FL ED VR, 800mm F/5.6E AFS FL ED VR, and 400mm f/2.8E AFS FL ED VR lenses
