Product description The Xtreme Life Series 720p Covert Camera is hidden in a non-functional smoke detector housing for covertly capturing surveillance video. This side view camera has no visible wires and is integrated into the smoke detector so that it is virtually hidden. Since the lens of the camera is oriented sideways, the smoke detector should be positioned on a wall or ceiling in such a way that the device's side faces the desired scene. With a viewing angle of 140°, the camera covers a wide area and is suitable for monitoring the length of a room or hallway. Equipped with covert IR LEDs that do not emit visible light, the camera provides clear video in low-light conditions. There is a PIR sensor for regulating power to the internal video recording components, extending the camera's battery life. When there is no activity in range of the PIR sensor, the camera and DVR are powered down. When the sensor is triggered, the camera automatically powers on and begins recording. This system allows the camera to operate in standby mode on a fully-charged battery for up to 90 days.
