Product description Get in close and capture more fish, coral, and other amazing sea life at depths up to 135' with the KSD6 6" Dome Port from KNEKT. It is designed for the GoPro HERO3+ and HERO4 housings, as well as the #AHBSH-401 Blackout Housing for HERO3/3+/4, and slips on easily. Although it is rated for significant depth, the port is really made for surface-level shots. Since it is dome-shaped and puts space between the water and the lens, it is especially well-suited to over-under shots where half the frame is above the water's surface and half is below.
The KSD6's semi-hemispherical, optically correct acrylic dome is custom-made to be an optical match for the GoPro's wide-angle lens, and has been carefully crafted to eliminate circular reflections. Additionally, it's designed to improve water sheeting, which leaves less water on the front element after use--so the acrylic dries more quickly and stays free of water spots. Another benefit of the semi-hemisphere shape is maximized surface area with a minimized form factor. The dome also helps correct for the distortion caused by refraction of light through the water.
Built for durability, the KSD6 has a triple o-ring seal and is constructed from aluminum and stainless steel. The port does not require any housing modifications or separate accessories, and preserves access to mode, power, and shutter control buttons while installed. The built-in window allows you to view the camera's front LCD monitor to see battery life, camera settings, and memory card data. You can also use the optional KNEKT FPSH Pole, GPLT, GPDL, and GP4 trigger systems while the dome port is on the housing. - Compatible Housings
